Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday received some of the parents of the abducted Chibok girls, who are still kept in an undisclosed location by suspected Boko Haram terrorists. The girls were abducted from the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Bornu State, in July 2014. The Chibok parents included 17 women and 13 men. A young boy identified as Zubairu has landed in a hospital after he was allegedly wounded by his teacher, Sirajo in an Islamic school in Gombe state. According to reports, the boy was brutally flogged on both hands – which got him seriously injured in the process. The boy’s hand which was badly infected had to be amputated by doctors. Gunmen on Tuesday evening, attacked Kampanin Doka village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna state killing 12 soldiers. According to Daily Trust, the soldiers are among a special detachment of troops sent to the village to ensure security for expatriates and others working on a new road linking Zamfara State with Kaduna through Dansadau-Dangulbi and Birnin Gwari.
